Dementia Friendly Status
Healthcare Staff Recruitment are proud to announce that we are a Dementia Friendly business. We have been awarded our certificate on Working towards become Dementia Friendly and have taken the necessary steps for our business to provide a community where everyone is aware of dementia.
There are 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia; in Denbighshire alone, there are over 1500 people with a diagnosis of dementia.
These figures suggest that in any workplace/community group in Denbigh there will be individuals directly affected by dementia.
Dementia doesn’t just affect the elderly. More than 40,000 people under the age of 65 have been diagnosed with dementia and it is not all about memory loss.
